Wireless, Cabling & IP Cameras
F ast and secure Wi-Fi connections are required for your portable devices to access your network. There also needs to be an adequate number of access points to ensure coverage throughout the working area. Structured Cat5e or Cat6 cabling will often connect those access points back to a central location.
However, standard cabling is not always the most practical method of extending your network within large warehouses, across a car park or to a distant office in a haulage yard. It is expensive to bury cables underground and overhead options may need to be high enough to allow trucks etc. to pass underneath.
Ubiquiti Networks provide the ideal solution. Our installations of their products have included linking a Scottish castle to offices over one mile away, a connection to the end of a pier and from the clubhouse to the sponsors' lounge at Yate Town FC.
High Quality Cabling
M any devices though, including Wireless Access Points, still require structured cabling to connect them back to the core of the network. Our cabling team are able to plan and implement your Cat5e, Cat6 or Fibre installations.
On completion, they are fully tested to ensure that each and every cable meets the relevant standard. We are an accredited cabling partner of Excel who provide products of the highest quality. Our previous cabling installations have included offices, schools and factories.

IP Camera Installation
A nother common use for structured cabling is the installation of IP Security Cameras. Partnering with Avigilon, Orchard are able to install video surveillance and access control solutions. Their products include a range of cameras to suit all indoor and outdoor requirements.
They can also integrate with many other cameras if you already have some installed. Avigilon also provides easy to use but powerful software to review and search the recordings.
The application can also be used on tablets and smartphones wherever there is an internet connection. And it’s not just about security…
